Please read these terms carefully before renting a vehicle from Mitoo Car Rental.

Rental Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Renter," "you," or "your") and Mitoo Car Rental Aruba ("Mitoo," "we," "us," or "our") governing your rental of any vehicle from us.
By making a reservation or renting a vehicle, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and Insurance Policy.
Rental Requirements
Driver Eligibility
- Minimum Age: 21 years old (25 years for SUVs and premium vehicles)
- Valid Driver's License: Must present a valid driver's license held for at least 1 year
- International License: Required for licenses not in English or Dutch
- Credit Card: A valid credit card is required for the security deposit
Additional Drivers
All additional drivers must be listed on the rental agreement and meet the same eligibility requirements. Unauthorized drivers are not covered by insurance. Each additional driver is charged $5 per day.
Reservations & Payment
Booking Policy
- • Reservations can be made online, by phone, or via WhatsApp
- • A confirmation email will be sent upon successful booking
- • Reservations are subject to vehicle availability
- • We reserve the right to substitute a similar or upgraded vehicle if your reserved vehicle is unavailable
Payment Terms
- • Full payment is required at the time of vehicle pickup
- • We accept cash (USD, AWG), Visa, MasterCard, and American Express
- • 10% surcharge applies to all credit card payments
- • Prices quoted are for cash payment unless otherwise stated
Security Deposit
A security deposit may be required and will be held on your credit card. The deposit amount varies by vehicle type and will be released upon safe return of the vehicle, minus any charges for damage, missing items, or violations.
Cancellation & Changes
If you need to cancel or modify your reservation, please contact us as soon as possible so we can accommodate other customers. We appreciate advance notice for any changes to your booking.
Pickup & Return
Business Hours
Our office is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Free airport pickup is available during business hours.
Vehicle Inspection
At pickup, you will receive a vehicle inspection form documenting the condition of the vehicle. Please review it carefully and note any existing damage before leaving.
Upon return, the vehicle will be inspected together with you. Any new damage not documented on the original form will be charged to you.
Late Returns
- • A 1-hour grace period is allowed for returns
- • Returns more than 1 hour late will be charged an additional day's rental
- • Please contact us immediately if you anticipate returning late
Vehicle Use & Restrictions
Permitted Use
The vehicle may only be driven on paved, publicly maintained roads in Aruba. You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws and regulations.
Strictly Prohibited
- ✗ Off-road driving of any kind
- ✗ Driving on beaches
- ✗ Driving under influence of alcohol or drugs
- ✗ Racing, speed testing, or reckless driving
- ✗ Towing or pushing other vehicles
- ✗ Transporting illegal substances
- ✗ Subletting or lending the vehicle
- ✗ Using the vehicle for hire or commercial purposes
- ✗ Taking the vehicle outside of Aruba
- ✗ Smoking in the vehicle
Violation of these restrictions voids all insurance coverage and you will be held fully responsible for any damage or loss.
Fuel Policy
Vehicles are provided with a specific fuel level noted on your rental agreement. You are expected to return the vehicle with the same fuel level.
Fuel Charges
- • If returned with less fuel, you will be charged for the difference plus a $10 refueling service fee
- • Fuel prices charged are based on current local rates
- • We recommend refueling at a nearby gas station before returning
Insurance & Liability
Basic Third Party Liability Insurance is included in all rentals. Optional coverage (CDW and LDW) is available for additional protection.

Your Responsibilities
- • Keep the vehicle locked when unattended
- • Do not leave valuables visible in the vehicle
- • Report any accident immediately to police (100) and Mitoo
- • Obtain a police report for any incident
- • Never admit fault at the scene of an accident
Traffic Violations & Fines
You are fully responsible for any traffic violations, parking tickets, or fines incurred during your rental period.
- •Fines will be charged to your credit card if not paid directly
- •An administration fee of $25 applies per violation processed
- •We may provide your information to authorities as required by law
Important Traffic Rules in Aruba
- • Drive on the right side of the road
- • Speed limits: 40 km/h in town, 80 km/h on highways
- • Seatbelts are mandatory for all occupants
- • Mobile phone use while driving is prohibited
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mitoo Car Rental shall not be liable for:
- • Personal injury or death arising from your use of the vehicle (except where caused by our negligence)
- • Loss, theft, or damage to your personal belongings left in the vehicle
- • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- • Delays, breakdowns, or mechanical failures beyond our reasonable control
- • Loss of business, revenue, or anticipated savings
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total rental charges paid for the rental period in question.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Aruba. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your rental shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Aruba.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
